River Giving

Give for a good reason

+ Thank you for prayerfully financially supporting The River Community Church!

What we believe about giving is:

We encourage giving as an act of worship…

  • It focuses our hearts on our true treasure which is Christ (Matthew 6:21)
  • It is an acknowledgement that God is the owner of everything.
  • It turns our focus from the idolatry of money to serving God (Luke 16:11-13)
  • It is an expression of our love for God and our devotion to Him.
  • It is born out of our free response to all He has done for us, not out of guilt or duty.

How does The River receiving financial support?

Online Giving:

To give online please follow these steps:

  1. Go to our partnering organization Unibank.
  2. Set up your own personal account with a username and password.
  3. Set up a donation. Thanks again.

Sunday Morning Giving:

We place a wooden box, what we call the Bread Box, at the door to receive financial support.

We do this for the following reasons:

  1. We believe it is the way giving was practiced at the time of Jesus – at the door of the temple. [Luke 21:1-3] The receiving boxes or trumpets were located in the court of the women.
  2. We believe it establishes a pattern of entering and leaving our time of celebration with the attitude of giving.
  3. We believe it helps our community move forward in faith of God’s provision.
  4. We believe it reminds us the “asking” for money is not central to celebration gathering each Sunday.

Again, thank you for your financial support of The River Community Church!

If you’re interested in getting connected at our church or involved in the life of the church, Sunday Celebration Gathering is your first step.

During our time together, you’ll meet our staff, learn how to get involved and understand key truths of the Christian faith.

How do I get involved?

There are many ways to get involved.
1) Come to a worship service on the weekend.
2) Look into joining a Life Groups, and get to know some great people.
3) Come to Wednesday Night Activities, and pray with the church family.
