HOW CAN LOOSE CHANGE HELP PROVIDED CLEAN WATER?

It can through a partnership between The River Community Church, Alternatives Unlimited and Africa Inland Mission. The River Community Church values cooperating with others to make a difference in our town and beyond. One of the ways we do this is through our water project.

The goal of the water project is to collect loose change throughout December to help provide clean water. The River community collects their loose change and brings it to our Sunday Morning Celebration Gathering. Our friends at Alternatives Unlimited [http://www.alternativesnet.org/] count all the loose change for us. Then, The River sends the money to Africa Inland Mission [AIM: http://www.aimint.org/] to support their community development work with a focus on providing clean water.

Another way The River collects funds is by participating in area festivals like the town of Douglas’ Octoberfest to sell bottled water. All the proceeds from the sold water are used to provide clean water.

If you would like more information about this project, please email Pastor Bruce at the email address at the bottom of this page.

Blessings,

The River Community Church
